Please put your fuel consumption, this would be cool for other FZ1 riders!


My best 2011 ride : 4.65L/100km (US : 50MPG on road)

Bike : Stock 2003 FZ1
I am a 200 pounds driver

Gasoline type : 87 (regular)
Temperature : 30°c (85°f) on a dry day
Tire pressure : 36psi front / 42psi rear

Am getting an average of 14 km for every liter of fuel. That is about 33 mpg

I've been getting 6.613 litres per 100 kilometers or 15.12 kilomters per 1 litre = 42.76 miles per imperial gallon. This is around town road use and not hard out. I'm running 98 NZ (93 US) Octane Petrol.

What speed were you doing? 6th gear and 50km/h????

I average 6.2L / 100km at average speed of 100km/h (somtimes I'm sitting on 80, somtimes on 120....depending on the road etc).
 
I have a high of 41 mpg
low of 28 mpg ( I was driving pretty hard)

I'm about 6' and 205lbs - mostly stock but a jet kit is coming!!! :D

High of 45 on interstate, absolute lowest of 23 mpg.
Average commute mpg is 35
All ivans goodies and slip on equipped.

Tuned 08 bike running 2010 ECU tuned to 14 AFR most of the time. 13 AFR as I roll into the throttle. About 12.7 WOT. I now run a data logging wide band all of the time. Not just on the dyno.

About 32 MPG most of the time and mostly mixed riding.

The tune needs to be very different from summer to late fall.

Mileage

48 to 52 MPG (and typically over 50) carefully checked for consistent filling and directly related to how much the thing on the right handlebar is twisted and how much RPM is attained in each gear before shifting.

When I'm too much into the throttle it's down to 46 MPG but it's all in the way you ride.

6th gear @ 100 km/h on road with 36psi front/42psi rear. It was a dry day, about 30°c (85° fahrenheit).
Gas : 87 octane (regular). I heard premium (91+) isn't good for FZ1, since they are tuned with regular gasoline.

I was really smooth on the throttle, I wanted to see the best MPG I could do. Also, my bike is really well maintained and everything is checked before each ride (that helps fuel consumption)

PS : My brother's 2003 R1 modded with power commander + full hindle exhaust + K&N did about 5L/100km (47 mpg) the same day.

I've no idea, about 36 to 38 mpg I think, I never calculate it.

All I know is that in city riding I F-trip at about 117 miles, on the highway I F-Trip at about 145 miles. Once I fill up I seem to have about 3/4 of a gallon left in the tank.
 
fuel consumption

I recently went from Melbourne (Victoria) to Perth (Western Australia) on my 2002 FZ1. Its now done 64,000 kms and just feels run in. Best fuel consumption was 5.2ltrs/100 km and worst was 6.45ltrs/100 kms.

Smooth throttle does help......but I love the sound of the exhaust!!
