Any one ever have Gen 2 not start at gas top off?

Topped off tank on my 08 after 30 minutes of riding at Lake Tahoe. I hit the start button five times, it starts then dies. I hold the start buttom and give it a little gas and it roars to life. Started fine every time we stopped on WB Hwy 50.

EFI? Elevation? I just turn 8,000 miles on her. Maybe some kind of air lock?

In 15 months of owning it starts in 2 seconds every time.

This was weird. Still a fun 331 mile weekend.

Could you have over filled it and put fuel into evap system? if you put to much fuel in them it can cause some issues.

I've seen quite a few people mention problems with hot starts and loping idle after a hot start. Mine does it once in a while. I'm convinced its either the fuel in the tank, rail or pump getting hot causing a type of vapor-lock or a heat soaked sensor.

Pretty sure its a hot fuel/ vapor issue because it seems to clear up quickly after its running AND if I cycle the fuel pump twice before a hot start it tends not to happen.

Turn the key off and on twice with the kill switch left in the run position.

You should hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds both times.
