Hi All Please Help

Iv got a 2008 FZ1
The Engine Management Light is on when ignition is turned on & stays on even when bike is running
i then take the bike out for a good ride & put it thro its paces & it goes like it should & ticks over & revs as it should
i get home & leave it for a few hours & re check the Management light is Now Out...Great....i check it again a few more hours later & the light is still off
overnight & switch on when stone cold the Management Light is back on & doesn't go out until its been taken for a Ride ???? please help what is causing this Issue ???

Rgr, you put a meter on the battery while running and get 13.5-14.5 volts? Just to check charging system. Could possibly be triggering the light. Brainstorming…

Edit: I guess there is a separate battery light tho…

Hi Battery voltage while running is 14.3 Volts

battery is good & is 14.3 volts when the bike is ticking over

Codes Erased but Management light still ON
When you go into the Dash system to were the codes are displayed..there isnt any shown....Baffled

Man, no codes. Bike runs perfect. Light stays on tho. Were they erased by you? Or is there just no codes showing?

How does your gas cap gasket look? Possibly an issue with tank pressure/vacuum leaking. Maybe lift your tank up and check the vent line connection.

Yes bike rides perfect..i Erased the codes..No codes showing now..but light stays On until i Ride it
it then goes out when bike is cold overnight the light is back On

hmm. Yeah, If investigate the easy stuff first. Gas cap, fuel system, side stand switch…stuff like that.

Interesting. Bike runs as it should and no codes. But light comes on. The simple interlocks have been checked. Gas milage hasn't changed drastically? Starting to sound ECUish, maybe.

Is your original pattern of light on, light off pretty consistent?
