So the Fork Lock works

Yeah could be worse, could be a "have you seen my stolen bike?" Post.

But yeah, it's surprisingly violating.

Sorry to hear. Glad they didn’t succeed. Gen 1 guy’s wondering what does cutting the ring around the ignition do. Looks like they used a chisel.

Do you think this was just for a joy ride or sell off for parts?

I’ve re-thought your wrap idea and now I think you should wrap your bike to look like a police bike.

Lol thanks

Doesn't do anything, it's not attached to the ignition, just kinda goes around it to be pretty. So thankfully I can just make it look pretty with a file rather than replace the whole thing. Just glad he didn't try to get the lock to work by hammering a screw driver in it and properly messing it up.

Pretty sure it was to sell.

Thankfully I'm moving it back home today. Had it at a hotel cause of work. I put it in a storage unit the second I discovered it cause they would have been back.

And I'd love a police style, it's already black.

Though looking at it today, while I love a blue or red fz1, it's a very slick looking bike in black in person. It's oddly a rare color for sport type bikes.

I had one of the alarm styles, but he didn't move the bike enough for that to matter.

They work better on the rear from what I've read fyi. (the orange cord that goes to your handlebars isn't a bad idea either, lets them know it's on there before trying to roll it, hitting it, stopping hard and then dumping it. Even the alarm style has to move to go off, so he might be on it with the kickstand up already and just not deal with putting the stand back down when he runs )

And they might be "old", but they don't look it. Reason they went after my bike and not the 4 others there.
