Great job on this forum it is really kickass! Please I need help , I just bought a beautiful 05 FZ 1 however some wanker tried to steal it and it now currently no longer runs please can anyone tell me what I can do to fix this problem the ignition is missing and four wires remain hard at the ignition spot how can I wire a switch I need to go on a ride and I'm desperate anything would be helpful thank you

Putting the ignition switch back on is a good start. They're about $120 for an OEM one... and my understanding a real PITA to remove/replace.
Is it where you put your key, or is it the button on the handlebars? (Starter switch)

You can't get it to turn over cause it's not getting spark, gas or air. Probably spark. Probably that missing ignition switch.

As far as hot wiring it goes... Not a lot of us on this forum, fewer who've replaced the ignition switch, fewer still who know what wires do what and even less which ones to connect to bi-pass things. It's an anti-theft device, it's designed to not allow a guy with wire cutters get it started. It's possible the ignition switch sends a message to the CPU and not something that can be bi-passed, but I have no idea, just trying to say it might not be possible. Or it might be two wires together like some car from the 60s.

Just to be certain, you just bought it and someone just stole it, and it was recovered? They catch the guy who did it? Be sure you keep it somewhere else and go overboard with locking it up. Thieves love to return after you've replaced parts.

Hey Cap thank you for the wisdom I've ordered the new ignition next Tuesday it should be here ! As far as the thief I'm not to sure if they caught him , I owe the guy a thank you as fucked up as that sounds if he didn't steal it originally I prob wouldn't have gotten the chance to buy it from the man he told it from !
