Heard of them

I have heard of them, and at least one member here, (though I can't remember who) has an exhaust from them (not that model). I agree that it does look interesting, I imagine there would be no more centerstand, or putting on luggage (that wasn't heat shielded).

Ixil has some history in MotoGp for making performance exhaust bits. They made this dual setup for the Z1000, it is pretty cool but I remember some of the guys that put it on said it def. required a re-tune with a PC3. Don't know if that would apply to the Yammie as well. It certainly looks nice, perfect for a pure-streetfighter build.

I had seen that one on eBay's UK site and was drooling over it. Shipping to the US would have made it cost prohibitive. Can't wait to see pics of it on your bike ;)

I think the exhaust pictured in the first post is ugly as ___, incredibly long and small, and not pointing directly to the back, yuck.

I would love to see an exhaust like the honda cbr1000rr, like this:

Each to their own, but that's a bit harsh. Undertail exhausts like on the Honda are clean looking but have drawbacks in functionality. If you take a pillon they will hate it.

I agree. They look like rocket launchers to me; really cheesy. However, I do like other of IXIL's cans

I think the stock exhaust on Kawa's 650R looks good and makes sense; it keeps things tidy and centralizes the mass.

not when its winter :p and it works for the FZ6, had 0 problems with the passenger seat getting hot. I love my big noisy akra pipe on the side tho, much easier with luggage.

To me the only aesthetic issue with the Duals is the length... but thats an EZ fix. I dig it, but if they looked a bit more like Akra's they would be perfect. Either way it's different.

A rider that I know has a Ducati Multistrada (the one that looks like a toaster oven from the front) He has a set of Arrow dual undertail and they look and sound great. The cans are only about a foot long but shaped more like an Akrapovic. Can length can be modified for asthetics if you really want, as you said.

Hi hellgate it is a full system not to sure if the cans are carbon should recive them in a few days will give you a full run down then and post some pics when fitted !drinky not overly keen on the single rear like on the honda cbr much prefer the twin separates. then if we all liked the same we would all ride fz1 eh ??

guys i bought a set of these pipes from ebay a few week ago and just fitted them this week end i had a acro slip on with gutted headers the answer to your question is they are fitted to your exsisting headers via linck pipes my fz1-n is fully moded and i meen fully moded there is nothing performance wise i have not added. i must say that there is no issue with a hot butt what so ever .and on my bike i have to say that these pipes perform better than the ackro there was a noteiable smoothness about the bike the back fire i had on hard excell on off throttel stopped even thoght i had prior blocked the ais which stopped 99.9 per cent of the pop-gurg ext. THE SOUND FROM THIS SYTEM is on par to the ackro but not quite as deep on tick over but wonce up in the reves it is awsome .Bought these blind as so to speake but have no regrets and will be moving on my ackro as a result .and yes they do look posey but they can back up that look . as you can see from the pic the pipe sits well away from the seat so no chance of you getting your butt roasted they also come with removerbale baffels if you wish to anoy the n-hood LOL hope this helps any wone whishing to persue a set of these fine beast!. p.s and a pic of the ackro for your comparisome.

not a weight issue

to be honest there is very little added weight to these pipes compaired to the single ackro and when you compair the weight of the stock exhaust its the difference between laurel and hardy lol.
