Wont tick over when cold

My FZ1 is a 2010 model and until recently,ran fine.lately,after starting from cold it wont tick over.Once its warm it rarely cuts out.
Any ideas what the problem could be.

Is your idle set high enough? I dunno, I would just take it back to Yamaha.

EDIT: I just read your new can thread, was the bike ok before you installed the exhaust?

yes and was fine after fitting the can for a few weeks

I hate to say, but there isn't much info in your post to go on. Probably why you haven't got much response.
And for us non-Brits, what do you mean by "tick over"?

I agree with you. It could be a variety of things and he's probably better off taking it back to the dealer for diagnosis. I believe "tick over" refers to what we call "idle".
