What gear were you in?
I would try bump starting in at least 4th gear to ensure you can still roll forward.
Another thought though - is the kickstand kill switch being activated? That could cause you to get nothing when pressing the starter button.
I feel like the tire just failed and exploded from the inside and because of this being the second Shinko Raven to fail early I have changed over to to Michelin tires. I did not hit anything that I saw or felt - does not mean I did not hit something..... I just did not see or feel anything until...
well, the FZ1 is technically a "Sport Standard" when referring to the half fairing Gen 1 and Gen 2 bikes. Sport Bike motor in a more touring seating arrangement.
Funny I have been on this site for a long time and this is the first time I have see this thread.

Yep, and losing the rear at 75-80mph on that last one was enough for me to say no to them. When I was young I went with cheap tires on everything I owned to save money... not anymore. When the Suburban we bought back in 2018 needed new tires I got Michelin on all 4 corners.
So I have decided to move away from the Shinko's - the last few rears I have had including this one above have been a problem.
The last 3 gave me the following mileage:
11,345
5,839
7,152
7152 being the mileage when the one above blew out in August 2022. I put a Michelin Road 4 on the rear...
