Whoever mounted that wasn't thinking ahead, you would have to let off of the throttle to get the gun. It should have been mounted on the other side so that the throttle could be used for a quick getaway lol!

Best way to remove a decal is a heat gun set to low. Carefully peel the decal off without burning your fingers. Then use a little "Goo Gone" to remove any glue that didn't come off with the decal. However the decal will usually not be reusable.
Yes the cold temps will drop the air pressure in any tire. Just as high temps or a heated up tire will raise the air pressure. My only question is what do you consider pretty cold (as I look outside at the snow)? PS. Take a ride for me, I'll have to wait until about April before I"ll be able to...
Welcome to the forum. I also had a Maxim 750 1983. They were great bikes. To bad they don't make 4 cylinder cruisers anymore. Not that I'd want to trade for my FZ1, but they were good bikes for their style.
How much seat depth do you lose with that seat? It looks great but does it still leave you a little wiggle room for those long rides, or are you limited to one seating position all the time?
