    Generations - side mounted camera

Cool video, thanks for sharing. Yeah, Dustin, I know what you mean. I have the second to the latest GoPro, with a bunch of accessories - but I seldom use it. I'm usually too busy riding and doing whatever I'm doing to fiddle with it. And then the video I do take, I don't sit down and edit...

    Strider's 2015 Trip Report Thread

Just got back from a little mototrip to The 3 Sisters out in the Texas Hill Country out past San Antonio. A buddy and I camped at Garner State Park. I haven't been to Garner in YEARS! It's just as nice as I remember it - even if the river is a little low. A few pictures ...

    Strider's 2015 Trip Report Thread

I haven't really gotten started yet this year, but I do have some pictures of lowside damage from about a month ago. I finally got around to washing the bike today, and doing a more thorough inspection of the bike to assess any hidden damage. It's been raining here pretty much non-stop, and I...

What did you do to your Non-FZ1 motorcycle today.

Finally getting a break from the rain here, and I'm feeling better (was pretty sick last week - fever, chills, bla, bla, bla) so I started tearing into my brother-in-law's old '08 Ninja 250. It was left sitting outside at my sister-in-law's house under a ripped cover that wasn't providing any...

Camping "TENT" on a three day trip?

Here's some pics of the setup I have been using on multiple bikes since 2012. The tent is a Wenzel Alpine 8.5 X 8-Feet Dome Tent (Light Grey/Blue/Gold). They have it on Amazon for $64 and free shipping. I treated the seams with an aerosol type seam sealer in the second season of using the...

Glad you're mostly ok ... sorry about the bike.

    Gloves choices - I know right ?

I ran through 3 pairs of AlpineStar gloves in about 6 years of riding, and they all failed at a similar spot - near the base of the thumb. I have had great success with their boots (I have two pairs) but I'm done with their gloves. Now I'm riding with a pair of Dainese 4 Stroke gloves. You...

How many miles / kilometers did you put on in 2014 ?

Opps? I wasn't really keeping count, but I'd guess at least 6 or 7 thousand on the FZ1, and probably around 2,500 miles on the SV650S. So somewhere around 10K miles total I guess ...

2002 FZ1 for my first bike

Glad you're still alive.:woot: I would never recommend anything other than a cheap used 250 or at most a 300 as a beginner bike for ANYONE, regardless of their size and weight. I'm 6' 195 lbs and rode a Ninja 250 for 3 years before stepping up to a 650. I commuted daily on the bike, rain or...
