Well I don't know how everyone is going to take this. Charles Bronson and I took our first ride together. I put him in the Camelback and zipped it up. Went to an office meeting 23.5 miles away. He was really good on the way down because I think he fell asleep. On the way back he was a lot...
I think for his name I'm going with Charles Bronson, Chuck or Bronson for short. Charles is my grandfathers name who passed a year ago. Someone suggested Bronson and I looked it up. Bronson means "son of a brown (dark) man" and his dad had a great fawn colored coat. Also Charles Bronson...
I just did parts of Western CO summer 2013.
Cottonwood Pass was by far one of my favorite parts. From Buena Vista till the summit(12,000+ feet) it's paved and then on the western side (gunnison county side) it's dirt road. I did it on my Fz1. I would have loved to rip along on an adventure...
I do not believe it was stock. The 2007?? (ERCI) model Fz1 that was black had red accents on the tank and a lot of people added red rim tape. I have a 2009 that was the gray and black with gold rims (no rim tape).
I dropped my Fz6 attempting this maneuver when I first got it, smashing the windshield as I gently lowered it into a concrete wall. Now I only take off the center stand by sitting on the bike and rocking it forward. I don't have a paddock stand but I'm hoping the same will be true.
If you really want a girlfriend friendly bike that you can still go have plenty of fun in check out the FJR1300. I think that is up there on my list of next bike purchases.

I would have offered only $2500 with that many issues to take care of. I got my 2009 in 2013 for $6k, You can find a better deal for sure. Someone just posted a 2012 on here with 700 miles for $7500

I'm 6'4" 245 and my girlfriend is 5'5" 115. I have a 2009 Fz1 and the bike did fine although the springs struggle with just my weight so her weight only magnified the already apparent issues I had. Saving up for an Ohlin's or Penske rear shock and Racetech fork springs.
Edit: And I've heard...
We've all been pulling into the grocery store, up to the gas station or to a restaurant and had an ohhhh shhhhh!t moment where either some moron is trying to drive on your half of the lane or worst of all an oil slick in the road.
Today I was stopping at the grocery store and pulled into the...
