I couldn't find the 5.7 AWD I was looking for.... but I did find this....

So... yeah... this has a BUILT 6.1 ... so... no worries about dropping valve seats....

the dealer had NO idea what he had. The motor is fresh as of July 13... The cam in it is rather crazy,.. so it lopes like a summmmbitch.... My mechanic told him it had motor problems... probably a fouled plug.... all in all it's probably got the better part of $7k just in the motor....

Oh... and the signature... that's Ralph Giles... the President of the SRT division... Ralph Gilles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
 
Sweet dealers can be idiots sometimes. Did they have the dyno sheet or did you find it in the car?
Do you know what all is done? Cam. probably port and polish, guessing a bit of intake and exhaust work, if it's got a monster cam I'd imagine new valve springs etc. Don't know much about the SRT 8 really... Is it a (D)OHC with VVT? Does it have any tuning program such as EFI live or the sorts?

it's...uhhh.... yeah. Loud.... it sounds like a top fuel dragster.... full headers back to Flowmaster 40's. ... When I first was looking at it, I figured I could remove the badges and have a total sleeper.... until I started it up.. nope.. it ain't a sleeper.. the idle gives away the demon under the hood.

The 40's aren't THAT loud. :D Wifey had one on a 3" single on her 5.3 trailblazer. Now the lope on the other hand... Just tell them it's a lope tune like on a diesel truck. :rofl:

video and better pictures are coming soon(ish).... the PO did door handles and wheels with PlastiDip... among other areas.... so... I've got some work ahead of me getting that off... some places it's peeled off, other placed, it was applied too thin, and is coming off in tiny chunks after scraping with a fingernail..... I've heard that Citrus Goo Gone works wonders... so.. I might give that a shot.

What kind of video you want?

Well we need a video of the idle to hear this cam... Beyond that it's up to you. Maybe a 1/4 mile

Oh.. and this is after I cut off the Flowmasters and put on a new set of Magnaflows... and did a control arm... and an O2 sensor... and a trans service.... 117k on the clock, and the PO never did a damn trans service. The date on the trans filter was 2006.
