    Gen II Radiator Guards

You can expect an order for one in the spring from me. I am planning some mods for my 07 once riding season opens back up again here in the Badger state. Mostly cosmetic but hopefully a PC and some other go fast goodies. I am with Eric as the Financial Committee has the purse strings pulled...

    Thankful For???????

Have a Happy Thanksgiving Billy. This was a great post, thanks. I am thankful for my two 4 year old twins Zachary and Emma, they were born 10 weeks premature and we are very lucky they made it and are with us today. My wife for letting me buy toys (07 FZ1) and who lets me hunt and fish when...

    Winterizing your bike...

I agree the having to have to put the motorcycle away for winter is one of the tough parts about living in Wisconsin, it is snowing like crazy out side as I write this. Snowmobiling helps to make up for it for a little while at least. Have a great rest of your week and I will talk to you soon...

    Winterizing your bike...

Thanks, I will be changing oil this week on the FZ1 and will have to put it away for winter, but had a great last ride last weekend (cold but great). Thanks again for your input and advice, I really appreciate it. Chad

    Winterizing your bike...

Ok pardon my ignorance (might have to do this a lot with me) but where does the o-ring go? I am assuming it is for the oil drain plug? I will for sure be buying my filter and oil from Walmart from now on, I like my dealer but they raped me on the price of oil and a filter.:doh2: Thanks, Chad

    Winterizing your bike...

Ok since I am a new FZ1 owner and will be doing my first oil chance on the bike for winterizing I have a question (possibly a dumb one). When I went to the Yamaha dealer to pick up oil and a filter for the bike they gave me a metal o-ring but did not explain what it was. I also did not think to...

    Your Rider Resume

Wow, you all owned some great machines! My resume starts at age 6 when I learned how to ride a bicycle. For my birthday my Dad bought me a Japanese mini-bike with a rear tire that folded up into the frame when not in use. It looked like a scooter without the body work. Can't for the life of me...

Delkevic 350mm SS Oval Slip-on Exhaust

I have run the bike with the baffle in and out and have decided to run with it out. Great sound and definite power difference. It pulls the front tire up quite easily now. I am now pretty sure I am going to gut the cat, install a PCIII and do the airbox and flies mod. Will probably piss the wife...

Wheelie Teach for the GenII FZ1

I have been looking at the wheelie teach but noticed they do not make one for the GenII FZ1. I have contacted them twice about if the R1 unit will fit on the FZ1 but haven't heard back yet. Does anyone have any knowledge of this system? Does the R1 Wheelie Teach fit the GenII Fizzers? Thanks...

Curing Gen II Faring buzz and vibration

Awesome! Thanks again for your help it is greatly appreciated.:unworthy: Will be working on that next week. Going to my cabin in northern Wisconsin this weekend otherwise I would do it then. Wisconsin gun deer season coming soon and I need to get ready. Tree stand work to do, and game camera...

Curing Gen II Faring buzz and vibration

Thanks Eric, looks like surgery for the FZ1 faring, I will also be adding thicker weather stripping to the bottom of the vent (where the vent meets the speedo) just for added vibration resistance. Thanks again for the link to reparing the vent that seems to be the culprit on my bike as well. Chad

Kawasaki Ninja 1000 vs. Suzuki GSX1250FA vs. Yamaha FZ1 Comparison...

I agree that they probably wouldn't need a complete redesign but a cross plane would be pretty cool. The same basic FZ1 format but with the cross plane wedged between a slightly modified frame and a few more ponies and ft/lbs of torque added to the mix would be a lot of fun on a naked sport...

Curing Gen II Faring buzz and vibration

I have noticed a lot of buzz/vibration in my 07 FZ faring especially around the 5000 rpm mark. I was wondering what my fellow FZ1 riders have done to get rid of this on their bikes? Being that I am putting the FZ1 up for the winter I have some projects planned for it and the faring vibration was...

Generosity to a Fault or Genuine Moron

The main thing is your nephew survived and learned a valuable lesson that will hopefully make him a better rider. Unfortunatly your FZ1 took a beating in the process. But the bike is ok mechanically and you will have it back in A-1 condition in no time. I have a select few who I would let take...

    Wi/Ill riders post up.

Hello everyone, I am living in West Bend Wisconsin, I moved here in March to pursue my MBA at Concordia University. I bought a 2007 FZ1 in August and unfortunately am getting it ready for hibernation :shaking head:. I would be interested in getting a FZ1 or Yamaha Riders Group started in the...

    My new TWINS

Hey Den, Congrats on the twins, I am also a proud father of 4 year old twins Zachary and Emma (the reason my FZ1 gas tank is usually covered in fingerprints :banghead:). Twins are awesome, they always have someone to play with and of course feed off of when getting into things, my wife Jessi...
