I may be able to make this after all. I decided that if I am taking a week off of work at anytime I need to find a way to include my wife. So, we may be able to make it out there but we would be flying and renting a car. I will not have a bike but will at least be able to meet everyone. Now...
I had my KTM taken directly to the shop from the seller just to have all the fluids and cables checked and make whatever adjustments need making. Need a new countershaft seal and rear axle nut but those are my only real issues. I have them also installing new sprockets, chain, skid plate, kick...
Got a response from a few folks on the local dirt forum. They say the bike plain and simply needs to warm up when it is cold out. Was 41 yesterday on a cold start. Everyone that had one of these told me they searched forums for the same info as me when they first got it.
Hydraulic Clutch on 2005 KTM 250sfx
Yesterday I went to look at a 2005 KTM 250sfx I am thinking about buying. Even in the cold weather it started pretty easy. It was my first ever kick start of a motorcycle. I am proud!

I am getting an itch for a sport bike again though. I may have 5 bikes in the garage before long.
I may be picking up a 2005 KTM 250sfx as my first pure dirt bike this week. Will post pictures if it works out. This one only has a few hours on a new Athena big bore(280cc) kit.
Riding with a group of friends I promised I would go with in 2015. Just so happened they set the date in stone while this was being finalized. Mostly pavement and camping along the way for an entire week. When I get the route I will let you know when and if we are in your area.
Ohlins adventure front cartridges for the Tiger to match the rear.
Barkbuster Storm hand guards for the Tiger.
Barkbuster VPS Hand Guards for the DRZ.
Of course the FCR 39 carb was an early xmas present for the DRZ.
Finally got the DRZ back with the FCR 39 installed along with a new Pingel petcock. Wow! What a difference a good carb makes! Flat spot between 6500 and 700 is gone. Throttle response is predictable and smooth.
