Was the crash a low side on a cbr1000? One of the local riders here in mn did a road trip with a bunch of other riders to Barber over the weekend. He low sided his bike and twisted up both his ankles. Amazingly he didn't break anything. Still can't walk without crutches though. Probably same...
I have a 34L topcase I got the package with a Gen 2 sw motech mounting bracket and adapter for $80. The topcase is kind of small. I find myself wanting a larger case often. But I couldn't pass up the deal.
Just read about it in cycleworld a couple days ago. Its an all new engine that they have used Honda's extensive car knowledge to build. The engine revs up to 7000 rpm but it makes peak power at 4570 which is about 50 horse. Reviews have been pretty good for the price point of the bike. Only...
There's really no style to those though. Most modulars are bland at best, And the Nolan looks like the release is on the front of the chin. So if you go down chin first you're almost guaranteed to pop the helmet open and grind your chin.
I've been doing a lot of research on modular helmets myself. So far the best I've found for the money is the bell revolver evo. Its got a built in sun visor, speaker pockets, and heavy duty locks for chin section.
Coils either go bad externally, I.e cracked plastic or worn insulators, or they go bad internally I.e. high resistance or open circuit. Spraying the checks the external structure. If its bad on the outside the spark will jump to the easiest ground. Spraying it will cause a misfire and rough...
Depends on the bike, hyabusa's and other big bikes are capable of 200mph but the feds make them electronically limit those bikes too 186. If you find away to remove the limiter, 193 is well within reach.
Hi, I'm Eric, nice to meet you all. I've been lurking the forum for a bit now. Just never properly introduced myself. I live in Minnesota. I picked up an 07 fz1 about a month ago, pretty much all modded and ready to rock.
I've put about 1000 miles on since, and love it.
Well if you don't think its a fuel line, take spray bottle and spray the tops of the coils with the bike running and check for arcing or a change in the way the bike runs.
Just search "unthinkable fuel line mod" its 1 /4" I.D. fuel line, length of 18". I just did this last weekend, took all my bottom end stumble away. The stock line is stiff nylon and kinks really easy. Chances are if you have lifted the tank without disconnecting the fuel line, you have kinked...
If you are going to pull power off lighting in the back, you should probably take it off the license plate light circuit and use leds for your plate light too. Shouldn't overload anything then.

I just replaced my battery over the weekend, and it froze time for the 10 mins that it was disconnected. I'd say you probably have a problem with a secondary power feed to the cluster. Press and hold the select button with the key off. If its still getting power like it should, the clock will...
I bought my fz1 used about 3 weeks ago with the yoshi r77 slip installed. After reading this thread I decided to pull the baffle to see if there was a diff and the only thing I noticed a deeper rumble at idle. Once you're moving it sounds the same as with the baffle installed. I think I like it...
