I bridged the 2 pins on the 2 wire temp sensor that looks like its in the thermostat housing and the fan fired up straight away. I have ordered a new sensor today. hpefully thats it.

Has anyone put on an R1 head gasket on and left there cam timing alone and found any detrimental affects ? i got a 3 day ride coming up in 4 weeks and a 3 1/2 week wait for and FZ1 gasket but can get an R1 gasket off the shelf.
