2001 FZ1 OHLINS Super Sport Tourer

This little old man’s well-loved motorcycle is for sale. I have owned this machine for 10 years now. I purchased it January 2013 with 13k miles. The bike now has 59k miles. This FZ1 is all stock as far as the Engine, Carbs, Air-box, Exup and Gearing go. I had the carbs rebuilt at 18k miles and they are still dialed in. This Yamaha checks all the boxes and is any riders dream. Power, Performance, Comfort, Storage, Lighting and Fuel Capacity.

The list of top-end accessories I have added over the years is extensive. The full Ohlins suspension has been rebuilt with kits by Ohlins master technician at 53k miles in 2018 including service of the progression fork and new seals. Everything works as it should and is ready to go anywhere on-road.

I started riding 20 years ago and, in my opinion, nothing beats the FZ1 for Power ,performance , steel tube frame, XL size gas tank and Reliability to the maximum. This bike does it ALL.

I have decided to stop riding so someone else will need to keep the story going.

this bike is for sale for $5500.00 or best offer

Don't want to downgrade- but I just bought a pristine 2009 with 35k miles an Corbin seat for $4500. I looked at a 2006 for $4000 and a 2004 for $3300.
I had the 94 Exup and had about $30k in it, ready to race with ow1 components, and some nice stuff on it, 167hp on rear wheel and lost 20k as I sold it. Accessories ain't worth nothing, when you sell it. And a list of repairs does the rest.
Good luck with that price- but you'll probably end up accepting around 3k, if you're lucky. It's a 20 year old bike with 60k miles on it.
Like I said- I don't want to start nothing- just being realistic. Nobody pays you for your feelings, blood, sweat and tears in the bike.
They expect it to work- and just that is, what it does.
It's a beautiful bike. But worth 50% of asking price.
Maybe you find someone who has no clue. Good luck.

10 years ago I would agree.
I have already had higher offers but thanks for your unsolicited advice.
