2002 FZ1 Back Tire Size

Over in Dallas,Tx at Haltom City I can get both factory size tires, Bridgestones for 330.00 plus tax.....and thats installed....My tires are not bald yet, but are the original tires from 2002....

Name and address of this shop please? I am currently either going to the dealer at 820 and 10 or to Cyclewerkz at 30 and Las Vegas trail. Both are about 30 minutes or more for me to drive to, while Haltom City is 15 minutes.

Well I ended up getting a set Michelin's today for 249.00 out the door...hell of a deal for Dallas area....stayed with the 180 series back tire....
The shop I took it to said the old tires manuf. code was 1202....them old Michelins had been on that bike since new...lol....Makes a good Michelin commercial....they still had a lot of tread on them...bike has 12k on it...lol...

190's work just fine...read statement from Dunlop

yeah. it'll fit... it won't handle right.... the tire will deform on the rim.... but it'll fit.

Fitment specs Rear: 190/55×17 D211GP-A
Recommended Rim range (5.50-6.00), Best Rim (5.50),
Width (199mm/7.83″), Diameter (643mm/25.34″)
Available Compounds: Soft and Medium
Suggested Pressures: Hot on the warmers 23psi, or cold 21psi
Note: For street riding, follow the motorcycle owner’s manual for air pressure recommendations. For track or race use, optimal air pressures vary with track conditions but general suggested air pressures are above.

It says the 5.50 is the best fit for the 190/55/17. I've gone through (2) D211GP on my 2003 FZ1...no problems. I raced at the expert level for (5) years so I think I'm capable of evaluating the feel and character of these 190's. I also loved the way my 180 Q2 performed, but the grip this D211GP has is over the top. I picked up a set with one day on them for 150.00 mounted. ***Love this FZ1*** AFM#674

I know these bikes call for a factory 180 width tire....180/55/17......I found a size 190/55/17 and was wondering if it would fit my 02 FZ1.....The 180 is tight....got my doubts.....any help appreciated

I got 2000 miles out of the rear and just got another one mounted on the bike for $30.00 ***Love this FZ with the 190/55/17 D211's***
