2006 FZ1 electrical issue

Oil light goes on , speedo goes blank and 10 kms later bike shuts down. Battery at 11.44 volts . After shut down for 30 minutes the speedo is back, with activation on the starter, but won't engage not enough voltage?
Charged battery and bike starts and runs . Haven't taken out for a longer ride but tentative for a repeat.

Any ideas??

Seems like the bike isn't charging. Try to verify this by reading the voltage while it's running perhaps 5 minutes after starting it with a new charge on the battery...then maybe going out for a SHORT ride and measure the voltage again while it is still running. If it's LESS, that's probably it (not charging). I believe there are other threads about what to do next if that's the issue...
