2024 MotoGP Discussion Thread *SPOILERS*

I think its great. Who could have predicted this last year? I hope MM has more mojo left.
I think he does. I just wish this season could have played out a little longer before this started. Should be interesting for the remainder of the season.

I think it was the multiple podiums that sparked it off. I havnt been this excited for motogp in years, been watching everything.

I agree. Since they all get to share data I'm sure that those on the inside know what's what.

MM had a huge crash in Practice today.... went back, changed his leathers - jumped on a new bike and set the fastest time of the session so far, went back in and changed out of race gear to go visit the medical tent.

HIs time did not hold up for Q2 - but it was still better than nearly half the field. As much as I do not like him that is superman stuff right there.

With Jorge moving on........... Race Team Prima Pramac to ditch Ducati and become second Yamaha factory team in 2025. Two probably still isn't enough. Somewhat old news but I hadn't seen it in our discussions.

yeah, it is a very interesting move by Pramac. Yamaha must have shown them something really good.

I know Fabio is running a new engine that is supposed be better at managing the power - but he still could not close the gap during practice today finishing 14th in the standings - that said the laptimes were insanely close for the top 10

For good or bad, and I'm a fan, that's a normal day at the track for Marc.

Lots of crashing this weekend so far.

Made the rookie mistake of not adding 30 minutes to the end of scheduled recording. Recording ended as they were pulling away from the line in Sprint race. Hopefully I will capture the Sprint race in a day or two.

Noticed Tru TV was covering the Moto 3 race this morning..... will have to check tonight to see what I ended up with. Hopefully Moto 3, 2 and GP.

Started watching a few clips of "Born Racers". Seems to follow young rider development for MotoGP. Seems to be a KTM only class for young riders. Couple comments from MM about the lifestyle. Lots of pressure on pre-teens and their families. As much as we dream of being on the World Stage racing GP machinery, it really doesn't look like a great childhood.

It would take a very balanced and strong family to ensure a well rounded childhood in that type of environment. The amount of pressure those children have put on them, and that they likely put on themselves, would get unhealthy very quickly.

I have been paying for the MotoGP Video Pass for a number of years now and it is amazing.

Championship lead has changed. Silverstone is great track. Both races were entertaining. A little hard to watch the main race as all the leaders were on red bikes. Hard to imagine how Mark M. won't be dominant next year on the factory Ducati.

The Ducati Cup... I mean MOTOGP series certainly has become a bit boring when you always have a Ducati on the podium. I was really hoping to see Aliex get up there for the Sunday Race.

Austrian GP was a decent race, more of the Ducati Cup. Acosta didn't really pan out this season after a hot start. MM looked very good, he should be dominant next year. Yamaha is not even in the game.
