Blacked out

After got home from my Arizona trip and took my touring shield of and put the stocker back on I decided to black it out seeing how you don't see through it anyway. Check it out. I think Yamaha should have done this in the first place.

Looks Good....now how about incorporating the bike's color into the wind screen.

color matched can of spray and do the sides in red and leave the "v" blacked out... (similar to what CD does on his custom windscreens, just using the stocker....)

Have you gotten on your bike since the return from AZ?

That looks good, but I would have gone with a satin finish instead of a flat finish.

Always use a flat paint and spray the inside fo the shield then the outside looks gloss

I guess that's the better way to do it. Also it wont chip from rocks or other things hitting the outside of the windscreen.

Yeah, unfortunately that shield painted on the outside will not hold up to the junk thats bouncing off of it from the road. My bike came with the shield already blacked out but I think it was purchased that way.
