Brake Rebuild Kit?

Hi,

Are there rebuild kits for the front & rear brake calipers on the FZ1? I guess seals, pistons, sleeves, & boots will do the trick? OEM is $$$.

I installed these just a few weeks ago, and they've been working pretty well. That said, what makes you think you need to replace more than just the seals? The pistons should be fine unless you caught a rock or something in there to chip/damage one of the pistons. You can scrub off any corrosion with some steel wool if you need to. There aren't any sleeves or boots to replace on the FZ1, so you've got that going for you.

Edit: I take it back, there's a sleeve and a boot on the rear caliper. I hardly touch my rear brake, though.

The pistons appear to be quite corroded, but I will try to polish them out first before buying new. I ride in all weather and Missouri really likes to salt the roads in the spring & fall with rain & freezing temps forecast. I have an '09 bike.
