Ceramic exhaust coatings

Year before last I had my headers ceramic coated in black by Zircotec. It looked fantastic when I fitted it back on the bike. But, after a couple of thousand miles it began to look very shabby with what looks like rust coming through. Has any one else had any experience of exhaust coatings?

Do they have a warranty? If done correctly, this shouldnt be an issue.

Shouldn't have rust on headers they are good quality stainless

Stainless can rust over time.

I used Jet-Hot, the original, to coat my XV920R MAC exhaust, they're local. She not been on the road yet but the coating should keep the mild steel exhaust from rusting over the next few years.

I can pretty much guarantee that the stock headers are not rusting though the OP's ceramic coating. The stock headers would take a very very long time to do so.
