Where is the best place to order up a chain and spocket kit ? Looking for 15/46 or 15/47 for the 2005 Fz1 . Thanks guys !!!!!
 
520 is fine if you know how to maintain a chain... I've said before many times that I actually get better wear out of my 520 than I ever got out of my 530....

but in response to that eBay auction.... "comes with a clip type master link unless other is requested".... yeah.... request a rivet type if you end up buying from them.... you don't want a clip type.
 
Check out the Sprocket Center.com. You can get the whole set or sprockets and chain individually and just about any size you would like. I'd advise steel ony if long life is a concern. Your'e looking at about $60 for a set of sprockets (steel) and in the neighborhod of $100 + for a good chain.
 
I seriously don't understand why these auctions list with a "clip style" master link. I get the feeling that they are doing it just to get more money out of you to buy the rivet master clip. :eyebrow:

I agree with the steel sprockets as well as the 530. I have had 520 and I cleaned and lubed my chain every day.... why, mainly because my commute is a total of 156 miles a day and it was relaxing to keep it clean. The 520 conversions didn't seem to last as long, I could generally get at 20 to 30 thousand miles on the 530, but usually around 15,000 for the 520 kits. :eyebrow:
 
I'm going with the 530 15/47 with a D.I.D chain , does any know what chain lengh i should get ? Thanks !!
