Looking at replacing the chain, Dirt chains have a clip/link. I know new bike chains don't. So, do you all go that set up or OEM stlye ? I did the clip on a 750 NH I had, no issue's there.

With the amount of power from the FZ1, most on this site would recommend a solid riveted chain without the clip/master link. That does require additional skills and tools to remove and rivet the new link into place.

It's just like replacing my Shimano Dura-Ace chain, you use a rivet/pin there too. Unfortunately my pin press is way to small to handle the motorcycle chain.

I have the same Drc tool listed above. Without a doubt it is one of the best, innovative tools that is a must have for your garage. I put a 530 chain on my FZ and it was a breeze. Make sure you read and follow the directions. The pins are easily bent.
