I broke my clutch cable yesterday, where is the cheapest place to get one? I looked on ebay but they only had ones for a gen 1. WOuld they fit a gen 2, would a r1 cable fit a gen 2?

Well R1 cable has different part number so it may be a different length. I wouldn't take a chance with it. As for cheapest place online try this:
PartShark.com - Motorcycle Parts, ATV Parts, UTV Parts, PWC Parts, Powersports Apparel, Motorcycle Accessories for OEM and Aftermarket.
The have good prices, but the shipping may drive up the price to the point where you may be better off getting one at the local dealer if they have it in stock.

Bought mine last year though Parts Shark, was am OEM Yamaha cable for the FZ1. We are talking if memory serves me correct like 30 buck range, was cheap enough that I just went with OEM
