I'm all for reasonable regulations but that is a load of bollocks! Sure, mandatory helmets or engine power regulations make sense but these dayglo avengers can get lost

Nanny State gone wild

This is just another example of a knee jerk reaction by a "nanny state" thinking government. Government filled with the "helicopter"/"bubble wrap" parents trying to make the world fool -proof for their helpless offspring. It doesn't help having weak kneed Judges, money hungry Lawyers, and a population of litigation crazed people suing for every little thing because they can.

Did I cover it all :eyebrow:

Maybe we should all walk around with the flashing amber beacons on our heads and back up alarms on our asses, and air bag suits with back-up cameras.:shame:

I for one will not be wearing what I'm told! Just another excuse to screw riders. The problem is not rider visibility it's that if you don't look you can't see! Oh then there's the fine for "Faded Hi Vis Clothing" So you have to change it every six months! Bullshit oh and while I'm ranting I will be expecting every Motorcycle cop to be tricked out top to bottom with the gear too. In summer they often get around in short sleeved shirts!! Oh I forgot they're specially trained and it makes it hard to hide in the bushes.

I'm with you Blanchy.....they can bash the yellow suit up their f----n A---s!

Just more BS from our moronic governments.....I hate do-gooders and politicians.

Actually maybe we should protest:

OMG!!

Please tell me the policeman survived and they put that idiot driver in teh yellow car under the jail where he deserved to be!

The driver of the yellow car was probably playing with his/her iphone. Every day I commute to work and every day I see people playing and texting with iphones......even while driving. They drift in and out of lanes and on many occassions I've had to take evasive action. I'm sure a yellow hi-vis suit won't protect me from them.

Please encourage all to sign! Overseas too

I'd like everyone to sign the petition. Even other countries if it gets in here its only a matter of time for you all! That said the local biggest selling Mag here says its unlikely to get through but don't let your guard down. In the section, "Why is it important to you" for O/S riders I suggest something like I will not come to Australia/Victoria as a motorcycle tourist if this is a law. Also other states, think about going to the GP/Supers at Phillip Isl. Get to the boarder and you'll have to have all the Hi Vis gear.

If you don't think it can happen, think again. In my state it is now compulsory for me to wear a PFD (Life jacket) when boating alone, 4.3 mtr boat. So If I'm anchored in calm water and decide to take a swim, I can be fined! Unless I'm wearing a PFD yeah right.
