custom speedo

i just picked up a 02 fz1 and the whole front cowl is missing along with the speedo. Im buying a new stock speedo and was wondering what the speedo bolts on to?
i think its this bracket

is this what the speedo bolts to?

yeppers... that's what the speedo bolts on to... that's also what the fairing and headlight bolts on to as well.

Verify it isn't bent and rewelded on where that rusty spot is. Mine took a fall by the PO, and he just welded the stay back together to "straighten it". You don't want your cowling crooked. It'll drive you nuts.
