Dip/Main beam switching issue

Hi guys, I recently carried out an HID conversion on my FZ1N, the difference it makes is incredible, but i have one small niggling issue.....

When the bike is running and I switch between dip and main there is a delay of about 1-2 seconds when there bulb goes out, before it lights up again, BUT, when the engine isnt running there is no delay, its an instant change. Now i know that the bulb remains a constant output and the dip/main is done by the bulb moving away from the reflector.

Can anyone (excuse the pun) shed any light on why i get a "blackout" when the engine is running and why i dont when the engine is off and a possible cure?

I did indeed, the improvement is great, the spread pattern is the same, but the difference is very noticeable in the amount of "visible" light. the makers claim a 300% improvement, and i certainly agree with their claim. Im using a 5000k bulb in the headlught and no melt down of the lens or reflector. Ill be posting some pics come the weekend of the standard v bi-xenon.

I got to bottom of the issue of the dead spot between dip and main btw. When i purchased the kit, I had a choice between a slimline digital ballast or a standard one, I chose the slimline as I have a naked. It seems the slimline digital ballast isnt liked by the FZ, as I tried a standard ballast after Id tried 2 digital ones, and hey presto! no more dead spot tween dip and main:yes:

Dips witch issues with no main beam light

Hi everyone please can somone help me as I have looked everywhere as why I don't have a high beam but when I press pass button I get high beam but not when I dip on rocker switch? I have tried to look for the light relay and can't find that. I have checked all plugs and for broken wires and still nothing? Anyone had this issue on gen 2 07 FZ1
