Engine paint.

I noticed yesterday that the paint on my front sprocket cover is flaking off.

Is there a special Yamaha code for the colour of the engine paint or have you guys used anything else that matches the silver?

Makes me think that someone has already tried to touch up.

I'm going to paint mine a satin black and the devil is in the prep. From what I've seen, a good high temp paint 500° should be fine, but it is all in the prep for a dependable finish (did I say that already?).

I also am going to try harbor freight's soda blaster to see how it does for the prep side of things.

Thanks for the tips but Im trying to find the silver colour, not the black.

the emphasis was more on the prep as opposed to my color choice, but see if this helps you as a suggestion.
