Here's a short video of the chip seal they put on the east side of Mt. Hamilton. It was still a bit gravelly.

Even with the GS, I'm still not a fan of that stuff.

They spray Magnesium Chloride on our dirt roads here. Helps with dust and snow melt. Gawd, now that stuff is awful.....worse than chip seal gravel
We were unlucky enough to ride over Keber Pass (before the FZ1 Meet-Up) just as they finished putting this down, made for a slippery, wet, white knuckled and very messy ride.
