question ? what is the FZ1N top speed ? i havent had the chance to run my new FZ1N hard , as im still breaking in the engine .

There's a YouTube video showing someone topped out at about 277 Kph (what's that like 170 mph?) and 14,000 rpms.

You dont need to run it in m8,just don't over do it.
I just never red lined mine but gave it some most the time and shes sound,now done 1850miles changed the oil at 660miles.
I aways say if you do it to gentle it will never be as fast,but thats my opinion.

i dont baby the engine during break in , i load it up . but i try & keep things 4000-RPM below redline , so i keep things @ approx 8000-RPM . till i reach 1000km & then i will take it up to 10000-RPM till i reach 1600km , then i'll ride as i please ..

hello just joined today,i have a 2006 fz1-n ive dropped 1 tooth at the front the 06 model red lines at 12000 rpm iv'e also fitted a micron (early fzr ) but kept the E.X.U.P. VALVE so my pcIII maps standard at the moment i recently had her reading 174mph at just short of12000 rpm!!!! scary!!!!

The Fz1 here in the states has a top speed of 173mph at the rev-limiter stock gearing.
The speedo was showing 186mph but my gps was at 173mph it took a good tune and a little nitrous to get there tho.

here in OZ we also use kph , but rest assured 186mph is flying = approx 270+ kph i think ..

i wouldnt think that is accurate figure 299.34 for a FZ1 , but even 270kph is plenty enough for me ..

my 06 rev limits 12000rpm ive noticed some models at 14000rpm is this a year thing or a u.k. thing??

The fastest that I have been on my previous 06 and my current 08 FZ1-N is about 230 kph. It is hard to go much quicker on a naked bike as the wind is trying to rip you off the bike. The most fun is 140-180 kmh.

+1 agree , approx 150 to 220kph is the FZ1N sweet spot ..

on my faired FZ1 Fazer. took it last weekend out to 265kph measured with GPS. Awsome fast and you feel still left at the trothle :Rockon:
