Gen 2 2008 instrument cluster issues

Hi all, new to the fz1 and to the forums. Bought a 2008 fz1 over the weekend. And im having some issues with the instrument cluster. On purchase everything seemed to work, bar that the reset and select buttons looked a bit worn rubber coming off the nuts. I could select between mph and kph, with kph being preferred. I could also move between trip a, b and total mileage.Was unable to select celsius temp over farenheit. As of yesterday the bike was only allowing mph and something called F trip. I tried tonight to go through the functions as per some other sites and now sit with the cluster reading d1. Im now totally confused. Does it mean a new cluster?

If I remember correctly, there's a thread about this on the forum somewhere. I think the problem is possibly related to a dying battery. Have a search around and see if you can find more details
