Installed HID Projectors with Angel Eyes!

Well its been a long project but here they are...
I used the same projectors as Blanchy, the KT-6 kit from KT auto and i must say he was a big help throughout the process.

The Projectors are 8000k HID with Hi/Lo function
 
Looks Great! I have been thinking about this for a long time, did you notice a significant improvement? What about in the bends? Does that cut off make it harder to see?

The kits are sold individually, they're $100.00 per each Projector, i got 2 ,after shipping it was $238.00 but there are may different kits
 
Good to see you got them going. Looks great with the black bike too. Don't aim them too high tough, blinding other road users is not good. Low around corners is not great but judicious use of high beam can help. Straight line high beam is incredible. What was the problem with the Headlight on Relay?

Those look great. I have "Angel Eyes" on my list of mods, just hasn't worked its way to the top!

Out of curiosity, what's the difference in power consumption between HIDs/Angel Eyes and the stock lights?

The retrofits that I do, I always use 35W ballasts, and I believe the stock halogens are 55W. There is a 20W savings per bulb over stock, plus I use LED angel eyes, and those hardly have any draw. Definitely NOT something that uses MORE power than stock.
 
Great Timing

Had my 1st real issue with them. Noticed my right Angel Eye not illuminating. Chased power with my multimeter and the drive is the problem. Popped the cover off the back and found rust inside. Trying to contact them for warranty but their website is going real slow (might be their Govt) Anyway If you have them somewhere accessible, I'd pop the cover and seal with some non acidic silicon. PS Never pressure washed my bike, just use the shower setting on my garden hose.

I have no idea what is up with that relay... my hi and low switch is now reversed but im going to just deal with it. ive put enough time into the wiring.

HID suck way more power! i have 35W for these, i tried 55W and they killed my battery dead in 3 minutes (the bike wasnt running) the 35W are better but still suck more than stock.

Alright thanks for the heads up... thats the ccfl transformer right? i wrapped all my box connectors with electrical tape

There are projector kits compatible with the single bulb style headlights. I did a retrofit on my naked SV650 and it wasn't too bad at all

Above is a post I made when I got the kit installed. A single bulb naked headlight will often have limited space and this is a consideration you have to make when buying a kit

Ok, so I was perfectly satisfied with Rabbitman's answer, but now we've got opposite answers sitting in this thread (A7)...

If the "stock" setup pulls 55W and the HID's pull 35W, how is it possible that you would see a faster power drain with HID's?

I've switched to LED brake and turn signals (front and rear), so I'm not super-concerned about power (I was able to run my heated jacket, grips, and charge my phone without trouble at above about 2k RPMs), but I would like to know how switching electrical components affects my charging/battery.

I think I just need to find a way to measure the before and after "surplus" power when I swap out parts.
 
The only way I can tell is that I bought 55w Projectors so they are drawing 4.6amps theoretically. Without actually checking with an ammeter I just have to trust the manufacturer. PS they apparently have a big current draw on start up but not really sure how much.
