Installing Tom tom Rider

Hi,
I do a lot of touring across Europe and have purchased a Tom Tom V2 rider. Looking for best tips on how to hard wire to the FZ1.

I'm not sure what Tom Tom provides for their unit, but for my Garmin I wired the fused harness directly to my battery. It works great but I did find that if I left it connected for about a week and a half, it drained my battery so now I make sure I disconnect the plug from the unit when I'm not using it. I was able to run the wire easily from the battery to the front of the steering head and keep it hidden.

You could get a 12v charger and wire it into the left or right running light. Then you could plug in the TOM TOM whenever you needed to plug it in.

There are also some 12v chargers that you wire to your battery and then run the leads under the gas tank and out.
