For the past 14 years I've owned Honda V-fours for my primary ride.
Mostly VFRs with two STs thrown into the mix.
Anyway, I've been a member of VFRdiscussion.com since 2002 when I got my 6th gen VFR. The site is very well run and privately owned by a guy named Miguel Mayo in Colorado Springs.
The VFR guys have a rally every spring around the Deals Gap area and this year Miguel was on his way there and was hit by a cager crossing the double yellow in a curve--totalled Miguel's bike, a 5th gen VFR (1997-2001).
Well, the membership of VFRD gathered our funds together and raised enough cash for Miguel to pick up his new 2010 VFR1200 over the weekend!
Is there a better moto-forum story out there??? I think not!
