MAY 12th - Bear Mountain, NY Ride...Twisties and Scenery!! U coming?

Made a new thread so there is no confusion..

Taking my normal route on SATURDAY 5/12/12 around Bear mountain, NY area...Anyone is welcome to join!! as the title says some of these roads are very twisty...going from decreased radius turns, pretty good back to back sweeps, a lot of elevation changes and the best thing is there is not too much highway miles just the good stuff!!:Rockon:

Meeting place: palisades mall parking lot in front of Lord and Taylor entrance
(gas station close by if u need to top off )

Time: 9:30/10:00

Im hoping the weather holds up…if the chance of rain changes to 40% or higher I will have to post pone it again:frown:…keep ur fingers cross or do some make it NOT rain dances lol:D

cool sounds good! im a city away in yonkers! im always in whiteplains bcuz im good friends w/ paulding's kawasaki n i blow all my money over there on parts and gear:D
 
I moved here in winter from Brooklyn so I'm still finding out new things in the area. Wish we had a Lowe's, and the Walmart had a motorcycle section, but other than that it's great. Good thing I haven't found the Kawasaki store yet

There is a Kawasaki Dealer in Millwood, and a Yamaha Dealer in Thornwood. The Walmart in Mohegan Lake has a small MC section, but if you blink you'll miss it.

never seen A lowes but theres a homedepot in elmsford...Walmart in whiteplains only has motorcycle batteries u'll see ur bike on the boxes lol
Pauldings Kawasaki is down the street once on white plains hospital... If u ever need gear at a better price than online go there!

Things to bring:
GEAR UP!
$1.50 or ezpass
Small rag to wipe all the bugs off ur helmet
Camera
$ for lunch and gas
Confidence/finesse or extra undies lol ur choice

Highway riding : Staggered/ checker board Position
Twisty ride: single file w/ at least two bike distance between each rider

Weather is 0% chance of rain and a high of 80F in west point!! its goin to be a chilly ride to the mall after that it should warm up.

It sucks that I have to work tomorrow, but I had the day off today and rode up near West Point, and then to Orange County. I know when I was going up 9W from Fort Montgomery, I waved to either an FZ1 or FZ6 coming down from the other way. Not sure if anyone was out today. I think it was White? but didn't get a good look.
