mirrors

hi,need some help,being a bit senile,i want to put some bar end mirrors on me bike,so i undo the bar end weights,and inside bars is a threaded thing for the weight,so how does the bar end mirrors fit on,do ihave to get the thing out or what,any help would be great thanks!:smokin2:

There are different types, a photo of your mirrors would help. Or, if you can't post a photo, the make and model

hi,have not got any yet,just need to know which are best and how to fit in exsisting mountings,can i use original bar end weights etc!

I got cheapos from eBay ($10 shipped, iirc) to see if I would like them (I do). They're not the best, but they offer better visibility for me than the stock mirrors did. Don't forget you'll need to do something about the old mirror mounts (e.g. block off plates).

When I installed them, I removed the bar-end weights, put the appropriate sleeve insert into the handle bar end, and tightened it up. The tightening draws a conical "nut" toward the bar end, expanding the sleeve and holding it in place.
