They're good, Lonney. To be honest though, if track day wasn't part of the equation, I'd stick with Pilot Road 2. The one minor place where Z8 feels *worse* is on steel bridges. It grabs edges. I don't feel that it does anything better on street than PR2.

I knew I'd be replacing tires before 1st track day, so I didn't pay much attention to what's on the bike when I was picking it up (I did point out the dry rut to seller.. to get the price down a bit )

Holy cow!! They're both ORIGINAL! Time stamp is from early 05 on both. They're nearly NINE years old!

D'oh! I know loads of people have used Q2s on track and enough have gone to Q3s and say they're as good if not better (though apparently not flippable, while Q2s unofficially were).

Have you used both Qs and DRCs? If so, what's better about DRCs?

I started with Q2's. never had any issue but they feel like bricks and I could never really tell what they were doing. DRC's let you know exactly what's going on underneath you. It was a little unnerving at first, now I need that feel. Not to mention its perfectly fine to flip the rear. Very important if you run Jerzy a lot.

Oh man that is the worst feeling!!! good to know . Ive been really happy with the pilot power3 on the fz. very sticky althoughi have not been on the track with them.Good luck with the new ride looks brand new.
