Just put them on and they work great. After searching a multitude of posts I chose them over the ProGel grips since a few said they were a little thicker, plus I have a pair of the mtn bike version on my mtn bike and liked them. I cut off the old ones as I could not pry off the left side due to glue. Just used water and they went on fine are super tight, Had to cut the outside flange off (.125") the throttle-side grip since it rubbed the bar end weight and would not return freely to idle. The padding is thicker but no too thick and they are very comfortable. Got 'em at JC Whitney for $9.99 + freight.
