The other day my trusty Pilot Road 2's died.....so I decided to give the Pirelli Diablo Rosso II (or 2 if you prefer) a go. I fitted the standard size to the front and the 55 profile to the rear on my Gen 2.
In the dry I feel these tyres perform better than the PR2s and provide more feedback. Tip in is smooth (even with the 55 ratio) and progressive. Grip in corners (ie 35 and 45 kph) is very good and I would say better than the PR2. Straight line stability is also good.
On the wet and slippery roads in Sydney over the last couple of days, I found the wet grip of the Pirellis to be very good...at least equal to if not better than the PR2s.
In short, I'd recommend them.
