Power commander III vs V

Hi all, I am new to the forum and to the FZ1 world. I recently purchased a 2007 FZ1 to replace my CBR 600 which I still have. I have been looking at mods to do and some I plan on doing are: velocity stacks, slip on, air box mod, FCE, block off plates, and power commander of course. I'm looking for the differences between PC III and PC V aside from size. The power commander website calls for a PC III for the 2007 and 2009 calls for PC V. Did something change between 2008 and 2009? Will a PC V work on a 2007?

Please help me figure this out. Thanks

Dave, from Newfoundland Canada

Do I absolutely need one? I have the 2-bros slip on and I de catted the header. The bike runs great and has sh!tgobs of power already. I don't really feel any abrupt throttle response or surging that I've read about...

I don't have a laptop and my computer is hooked up upstairs in my house. How would I load the map into the unit if I did get one? Would I have to pay the extra couple hundred $$$ to get it mapped for my specific bike or is it preloaded with an appropriate map...

It is obvious to me that V has to be better than III.
