Check out Papageno's build thread. He has the 07 setup. I think Crazybiker has the 07 and BlackSport has Ohlins with the 07 six pots. I went with the 05 because I got a super deal.

Just scored a set of gold 50th anniversary 06 R1 forks with calipers and lower triple clamp for $337. Can't wait to install them...

Why only the lower triple clamp? Does only one of them fit?

Because it was included in the auction. I've read that the upper triple does fit, but requires a bit of fabbing to get the steering stops and ignition lock to work...

You dont need the triples only the forks, brakes and axel.

Exactly. I'm using my stock triples. I plan to sell the R1 lower triple later on along with the FZ1 forks, axle, and calipers...

Hi
Got a 2008 FZ1-N

So if i get it correct, i need the fork legs, calipers, rotors and axle from a R1 ?

Wheel, triples(yokes) and mudguard from my FZ1 will fit on the R1 forks?

THANKS !!!

Yep, you need the R1 forks, calipers, rotors and axle.

I would go with 07/08 parts due to the nice 6 pot brakes that work really well.

I would also add a 05+ R6 or 04+ R1 Master Cylinder to that list.

The FZ1 stock one doesn't do the job well enough with the new calipers.
