R1 forks?

So what's the deal with quite a few of you fellows switching out the forks for the r1 ones? Are they shorter thus giving you a more aggressive position?

It won't make your riding position more aggressive, but the bike will steer more aggressively. You will get a better feeling front end and some more breaking power.

It depends there are 3 generations you can use.

04-06 4 pot brakes and you can retain your stock discs.

07-08 6 pot brakes but you will need 5mm caliper spacers or rotors for said year.

09-10 6 pot same as 07-08, compression and rebound set up like the FZ. Left leg compression right leg rebound.

Any one is a improvement. Your best bet is to get the entire set up. You will need the forks, calipers and MC, axle and rotors depending upon year. I paid 370 for the entire 05 front end, literally everything. Shop around and keep a eye on prices.
