R1 Shock Options??

Just had look on Racetech website. Spring, valving, oil..etc

your looking @US450 just for components + shipping , and this doesnt include labour & servicing = this maybe $150-200 depending.

There maybe cheaper components you can source from a different manufacturer?.

I would rather go after market for that sort of money.
I'm really happy with my Nitron support shock which cost me around $580.

That's a great price for an aftermarket shock. I'll look into the Nitron if I decide to replace the shock.

I use my FZ1 sport touring and commuting, I doubt it will ever see the track. So I might just use a stock R1 shock and skip the re-valving.
