Rev problems

Ive just bought a 2007 FZ1N with 5k on the clock. I cant get it to rev above 7000rpm . It has been standing for the last 9 months and i have put fresh fuel in it. any help appreciated, regards Steve

If you had the tank off, or the tank up, it is possible that you kinked the stock fuel line. It (a kinked line) restricts the fuel flow at higher revs typically. Lots of guys have done it. Replace it with a standard rubber fuel line and try it.

thanks mate, was as you said kinked fuel line. bike now running fine.
