Rotor puller size for first gen?

I need to replace my stator and need to know what size puller I need to take the rotor off... also the right kind of puller.. I've heard nightmares of threads stripping on the cheaper ones... need a good one..

No personal experience removing a rotor. I saw Rick’s Stator recommend this tool supplier. I see what you mean about people stripping out threads doing this repair. May be luck of draw as to whether your rotor will yield. Some say rattle air gun is the trick some say it’s not.
