Route 106 Harriman 6-24-12

I got out early this morning for what turned out to be an awesome ride up north. The weather was just perfect. I even saw two FZ1's while up there. A Blue GenI on Route 106 heading eastbound, and on the way back I passed a Red GenII that was heading westbound. I wonder if they might have been members here???

I snapped a shot of this Ducati up at the Circle this morning. It looked pretty rad.

I then headed up to the Peak to grab some scenery. Today was the very first time ever that I was able to see Manhattan from the peak. It was pretty awesome.

My son was also going to Bear Mountain with his girl's family to enjoy the day at the pool they have. I had him come by and snap a shot before I headed home.

Thanks bud. I did have a great time up there as always. I was shocked when the guy on the Motard took his helmet off. He had to be near 60 years old! I saw him come down the hill though and you know when a person can ride, and this guy knew his stuff!!
 
Looks like great fun!

You know.... age just does not mean anything anymore. Most the people I ride with are my age or older (Jeff) and ride very well! lol :D

It is a great place but Route 106 was closed for so long that the road is in real need of repair. Seven Lakes Drive however was repaved last year and is really nice and smooth except for the last mile or so heading towards Route 17. I'm all for a ride into North Jersey whenever you want. Just PM me beforehand.

Oh, I know that buddy. Let me explain: what I meant was that it's funny how since you have helmet and gear on when you ride, you really can't tell who is riding. So you have one perception by watching them ride, and then they park and remove their helmet and you find that your perception was way off the mark.
