rpm's at 65 mph?

I tried a search, but my phone wont let me for some reason. Man I cant wait to get my computer back up. But anyway, i was wondering what a stock gen2 runs at 65 mph. Mine is at 4100 and it feels a little high. I was told everything was stock except the N front end when I baught it, but I keep trying to shift again because it just feels like it needs another gear. I've even counted to make sure I'm in 6th gear. It isnt wheelie prone, so i dont know if its -1 but it just dont feel stock.

idk, i'm pretty sure i run 5k in 6th at around 80 mph. other than that i don't really notice and only know that one because of highway riding and i happened to take a mental note.

You can also figure it out the nerd way using the transmission and sprocket ratios.

65mph = 95.33 feet per second

(95.33fps)*(60s)*(2.647)*(1.208)*(1.512)/(3.14*2.04ft) = 4320RPM engine speed

:smokin2:

Funny this thread comes up as I was just reminiscing about my FZR400. That bike would buzz up near 12,000rpm at 70mph was near the 14,500rpm redline at 110 or so.

You get used to it I think ;)

Now that was a quick ride. Had 89 & traded for R6 in 01. After many yrs. of buzzing, loving the 4K RPM cruise on the Hwy.
