It definitely made a difference on my bike.I think im about a month off from getting a carb synch, Thats if i dont need to buy a set of pistons for my slabby.
Hey Bunk, I saw you had used this post earlier, I had an update on the handelber vibe and sync thing so I thought I'd put it here. After months of riding the aluminum handelbars are awesome. I keep the revs when I'm cruzing between 4 and 5k and the vibes vertually disappear. Now that's with the original heavy bar ends , and they have to be modified to fit. The carb sync, had a friend do it and that made the bike start easier and made the throttle crisp. Like instant response. Cheers! How oxygenated is your fuel? You may have some buildup happening in your carbs.
I suppose im lucky or i just adapted to what i bought. It had rizomas (al most likely with stock bar ends) and the carbs had been out(painted black) so both issues may have been addressed before i bought the bike. It does vibrate the heck out of the rearviews but thats the worst of it. I'll have a carb synch tool soon enough to check the carbs. I did buy a new bar from rizoma but need to chop a inch off each end and then add a threaded insert to make the bar ends work. That project has to wait until my lathe has power as im going to machine different ends with different threads. The monopoly on metric taps is a racket i dont support, all it is is a program change, no reason to cost more. Same as left handed taps. greed sucks.Hey Bunk, I saw you had used this post earlier, I had an update on the handelber vibe and sync thing so I thought I'd put it here. Are your bars aluminum or steel? How are the position of the grips ?. My bars kinda feel like dirt bike bars, a little wide and straighter across. Are you going to synchronize your own carbs. My buddy made it look so easy, but you can sure screw things up if you dont. You know Bunk, I love this bike, never get tired of riding it. RGV? I'm not familiar with that. What bike is that? Yep I know what you mean about your own work. I'm the same way. Unless it's a trusted friend like the one who synced my carbs. Cept I don't put my own tires on. I found a place near home installs for $20 a tire. What you think about these painted covers. Think im going to list them here for sale. Painted them myself. They look pretty good i think..They are too light to be steel. I’ve always tinkered with my rigs, can’t afford people to do stuff for me. And I don’t trust many in the industry. My bars are pretty upright and comfy, I used to have risers but I prefer just the rizomas. I just got done ripping my rgv around, and it made me miss that immediate torque of a liter bike. I’ll get rid of the rgv long before the fz1.

So maybe it's the riser on my bike. Did you put the GYTR riser ?I've owned a 2002 FZ1 for over 10 years and never experienced buzzing handlebars that I keep reading about, even with carbs that were out of sync I never experienced any vibrations or numb hands.
Well I picked up a 2004 FZ1 recently and can now feel buzzing, even with perfectly synced carbs.
My 2002 has the solid GYTR riser along with some aftermarket bars that have very little rise. There are no bar end weights either. The 2004 is completely stock, with the bar end weights.
The GYTR riser was already on the bike when I bought it. I'm going to swap it over to the blue bike because I like the drop.So maybe it's the riser on my bike. Did you put the GYTR riser ?
Are vibes the same when revving motor while stationary or do they seem to be worse while moving? Could be chain or tires adding to the vibrationsI took my front end apart and drove it around. The 4500rpm buzzing is still there all naked, but doesn't have the fairing amplify everything. But you can definitely feel it in the hands and feet. What the hell could it be? It arose suddenly on me. It had none of this. Looks kinda good naked though...
It is worse while moving, but I can feel that 4500rpm buzzing even stationary. Just by revving from neutral. If I ride slow, and stick it in neutral, and turn off the engine... just coast, there seems to be like a rattle coming from my front brakes when I hit little bumps on the road. So maybe there's something loose with my break pads? But still, it wouldn't buzz like that stationary... So it seems it's engine related? Next plan is to take a peek at the air box as I changed the filter but I don't remember if the buzzing was already there or after I put a new filter in. Maybe there's a screw I didn't fasten properly on the air box. Seriously doubt it, but that's the next thing I'll be triple checking for suspicious possibilities. Are vibes the same when revving motor while stationary or do they seem to be worse while moving? Mine was doing that , vibrating bad . It just so happened my TPS around that time was going out, when I changed it 90% of the vibes stopped. The vibes are coming back , I had put a used TPS so it's probably going out again. I'm going to wait and buy a new one. You could try adjusting you TPS, mines at its limitI took my front end apart and drove it around. The 4500rpm buzzing is still there all naked, but doesn't have the fairing amplify everything. Interesting. I wonder if just doing the ECU flash will take care of it?Mine was doing that , vibrating bad .
